Founded in 1955 as a private not-for-profit university in New York, the New York Institute of Technology now has campuses in Manhattan, Long Island, the Middle East, China, and in Vancouver, Canada.
Following its long-term strategic plan for a global university, the institution is designed to allow students to move among campuses with complete internal transferability of credits and thus to graduate with the same degree from any campus.
NYIT’s mission is to provide career-oriented professional education, give all qualified students access to opportunity and support research and scholarships that benefit the larger world.
NYIT-Vancouver offers a variety of graduate level degree programmes, including master of science in energy management, master of science in instructional technology, educators, master of science in instructional technology, trainers, master of science in information, network, and computer security, master of business administration (MBA) and an MBA with a concentration in finance. Its master of science in cybersecurity is particularly highly regarded.
All of the graduate degree programmes at NYIT Vancouver can be completed as an intensive one-year programme of study or through a part-time flexible learning model designed for professionals already in their chosen career path.
The NYIT-Vancouver campus is located in the middle of downtown city centre and is home to computer labs and student lounges. There is a distance learning centre where students can interact with other NYIT students and professors at its other global campuses.
It is within walking distance of many of Vancouver's iconic landmarks, numerous dining, shopping, and cultural venues within walking distance.
