Established over 40 years ago, the Loughborough University School of Business and Economics is one of the top business schools in the UK and part of the one per cent of business schools in the world to hold AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accreditation.

The school offers courses across bachelors, master's and postgraduate level across disciplines of: accounting and finance; economics; human resource management and organisational behaviour; information management; international business; strategy and innovation; management science and operations and marketing and retailing.

With more than 400 global partnerships, the school offers salaried placements to undergraduate students and internships to MBA students.

Courses at bachelors level in business are: accounting and financial management; finance and management; information management and business; international business; management sciences; retailing, marketing and management. In the economics department, the courses are economics; business economics and finance, and economics and management.

As well as The Loughborough MBA, master's programmes offered cover finance and economics, management, marketing, human resources management and work psychology, information management and business analytics.

Loughborough offer a Business and Economics MPhil, PhD and is currently offering unfunded PhD topics across a number of its discipline areas/departments, including: corporate social responsibility reporting; corporate finance and the political environment; international trade in relation to Brexit; workplace bullying/cyberbullying and games-based assessment. In the international business, strategy and innovation area: entrepreneurship in emerging markets; internationalisation strategies; culture-strategy nexus in global organisations; social innovations and entrepreneurship; strategy and performance in complex environments and digital innovations and development.

There are four collaborative Research Centres at the School aiming to shape policy and practice across both the public and private sector. The centres include: Centre for Information Management; Centre for Productivity and Performance; Centre for Professional Work and Society and the Centre for Service Management.

The school recently set up a new centre for doctoral training at the Loughbrough University Online Civic Culture Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) that applies cutting-edge concepts and methods from social science and information science to understand the role of social media in shaping civic culture.
