Allameh Tabataba ’i University (ATU) was established in 1983 as after the merger of 24 independent colleges and universities, and is named after a great Iranian contemporary philosopher. Dedicated to law, management, political sciences, psychology, social sciences and media sciences, ATU offers academic programmes at all levels. It is the largest Iranian state university in humanities, is under the supervision of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, and is well-known for its academic and research activities as well as regional and international relations.
