Work-life balance is the watchword of modern advice on attaining wellbeing. But working for a university or research institute can often be a passion that consumes a great deal of time and energy, leaving diminished opportunities to maintain friendships, pursue personal relationships and rear children.
This survey probes the extent to which university life around the world - on both the academic and the professional and support side - is compatible with a healthy home and personal life.?
Most of the questions are multiple choice, so will take only a few minutes to answer - though there is also scope to add more detail. Any additional comments would be greatly appreciated, and may be used in the feature article that will report the final results of the survey in the new year.
John Gill, editor of 色盒直播, said: "Relationships, friendships, holidays and child-rearing are the stuff of life, but we frequently hear suggestions that a career in the academy can make them difficult to pursue. We very much hope that readers, wherever they are based, will help us get to the bottom of this deeply important issue by giving us their views."
