A cry for freedom

MAYBE if J. D. Jacobs and Douglas Trainer looked behind their own rhetoric when challenging my commitment to free speech they would find that it is not something that has been fought for by prejudiced minorities, but by people looking for a weapon to tackle prejudice (色盒直播S, February 14).

The most disturbing aspect of NUS's commitment to banning prejudiced language is the belief that the students the union represents are incapable of challenging even the most despicable of ideas, right down to Holocaust denial.
