The University of Dubrovnik in Dubrovnik, Croatia, was established in 2003 in response to the need for an institution of higher learning in the Dubrovnik area.
The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programmes. These include degrees offered by faculties of economics, maritime studies, tourism, media and interdisciplinary studies. Each of these degrees are offered in English and Croatian.
The university also has a dedicated research centre, the Inter-University Centre Dubrovnik, that promotes interdisciplinary research in a variety of fields, such as economics, history, and cultural heritage.
The university partners with 149 institutions around the world, providing students and faculty with opportunities for study, research, and collaboration. These partners include Universit?t Wien, Leeds Beckett University, Wroclaw University of Economics and Universidad autónoma de Madrid among others. The university is also a member of the European Association for International Education and actively takes part in various international exchange programmes for students.
The University of Dubrovnik is committed to promoting the economic, social, and cultural development of the Dubrovnik region through community engagement. To achieve this the university offers courses that focus on community topics such as urban development, community health and social justice.
The campus has three libraries, lecture halls and classrooms, sports facilities with indoor and outdoor courts and an athletics track where students can join sports clubs such as basketball and volleyball. The university also supplies a healthcare, counselling and catering service in addition to student accommodation and a student union offering a range of societies for local and international students to enjoy.
