NSCAD University, also called the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, is a post-secondary art school in Halifax, Nova Scotia and was the first degree-granting art school in Canada.

It was founded in 1887 by travel writer, educator and social activist Anna Leonowens, whose life was fictionalised to become the best-selling novel Anna and the King of Siam, and later the 1951 musical The King and I.

NSCAD has three campuses within the city’s downtown area. It offers students the chance to gain bachelor's degrees in fine art, design and art history. It also offers a master of fine arts and master of design degrees at the graduate level.

Beyond the classroom, the school offers internships worldwide, as well as formal exchanges through a network of 70 institutions in 15 countries.
