In brief 2

Laurie Taylor's example article of "How universally nonsensical is WUDJ?" in The International Journal of Nonsense Syllables ( 色盒直播S , March 29) falls at the first hurdle. The syllable in question is actually the pronunciation of the Polish town spelled Lodz.

This reminds me of a "nonsense" collection of letters (RZCZ) that used to denote the end of a news story on the wires a couple of decades ago that would make a teleprinter machine begin anew, causing havoc with stories about events in Poland under martial law because that letter combination is quite common there.
