Study in Italy

Italy has 20 separate regions which all have their own dialects, traditions, landscapes and delectable food.

This is because Italy – while being one of the world’s most celebrated destinations – only became a unified state in 1861 and as a result Italians often feel more loyalty to their region than to the nation as a whole, which now means that each territory has it’s own exciting identity.

Like a lens to Italy’s past and present, visitors can explore its 2000-year history from the Colosseum of Ancient Rome to the Leaning Tower of Pisa to vibrant cities with renowned museums, restaurants, and shopping opportunities.

Italy is ahead of the game in many respects making it an exciting and diverse experience for students. The origin of the word "university" is actually attributed to Italy, and the University of Bologna is one of the oldest in the world.

With eight universities in Milan, it has the largest student community in Italy. It is home to Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi di Milano while the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi is known as one of Europe’s top business universities and a favourite of employers seeking graduates in this sector.

Famous sons and daughters of Italy include TV star Bruno Tonioli, actress Sophia Loren and fashion designer Chiara Ferragni.
